Sheila Cottrell - Emergency Medical Fund

Hi, my name is Keli Moldovan. My dear friend Sheila Cottrell urgently needs our help. On the night of June 29, Sheila Cottrell was driving to her family's ranch near Douglas, Arizona, when she was involved in a single-car rollover accident just as she was approaching the turn-off to the ranch road. Sheila's 4Runner left the roadway and rolled over multiple times, causing numerous life-threatening injuries.

 

 

Sheila was transported to the hospital in Douglas, where it was determined that she would need life-saving care and emergency air transport to Banner UMC trauma center in Tucson. She was airlifted to Tucson, where she received emergency care and has been placed in the ICU unit.

 

Her injuries are numerous and severe. She has multiple life-threatening injuries. Most notably, a traumatic brain injury that is being actively monitored. In addition, she has multiple fractures, including a fracture to her right wrist, which is the hand she uses to paint with.

 

Despite her numerous injuries, she is now awake and alert and is continuing to improve.

 

Sheila is a beloved mother, sister, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt, mother-in-law, best friend, kindred spirit and beautiful soul who needs all of our help.

 

Due to the heroic measures that have been taken (and will continue) and due to the nature of her injuries, Sheila will need ALL of our help to ensure that she has the funds and resources necessary to handle the enormity of the costs of her current medical care and her future recovery.
