Honouring the life of Samuel Isaiah Jones
Samuel Isaiah Jones, or as some of us called him, Mr. Jones, was a devoted husband and father. He was the youngest brother in his family and the son of Granville and Clarine Jones. To many of us, he was also a loving uncle, friend and an ardent mentor.
The first word that comes to mind to describe Mr. Jones is wise. He exuded wisdom no matter how short of a moment he shared with you or the topic at hand – it was always clear that he held an expansive range and depth of knowledge and perceptiveness. It was a type of wisdom that did not just come with age but one he likely carried with him throughout his whole life. There was really nothing you could not talk to him about; an exceptional conversationalist.
Mr. Jones was a man of many stories, sharing his wealth of life experiences in a way that left a lasting impact and has been foundational in the lives of those around him. He often weaved his unwavering spirituality and connection to his purpose in this world in his lessons. His mental fortitude and perseverance was evident whenever he spoke life into others. It is no wonder that many would look to him in times of need and as a willing source of support. His warm hugs, intellect and loving guidance will truly be missed by all.
There are no words that can fully capture the essence of such a remarkable person. To know him was to experience love, warmth and compassion, as his presence alone brought a sense of wholeness. He was a deeply revered soul and we are beautifully blessed to have lived in the same timeline as him.
To his loving partner, Minerva, and cherished daughter, Melissa, we extend these contributions with the hope of providing comfort and support during this time of sorrow.
Thank you.
