Social Distance Digital Relay

Saturday 18th of April

With the Darkness into Light walk being postponed this year, we decided to do our bit to try and raise some much-needed funds for Pieta House. Looking after your mental health is a cause that is very close to so many people’s hearts – especially in times like this.

As a result, on Saturday 18th April from 7am through to 8pm we are organising a “Social Distance Digital Relay” which will see a new participant take the baton every hour/30mins (whatever timings work for you) and walk/run/cycle - covering as much distance as possible in their time. The baton will then be passed to the next team member as the day progresses right up until 8pm. We would love to see as many people/teams as possible get involved! Teams are not required to run the full 13 hour day, but are encouraged to sign up and take part.

However, given the social distance guidelines we will all pass on the baton online via social media. Each will participant kick things off via their chosen platform(s) and give regular updates on where they are and what distance they’ve covered. Follow our Instagram page @sddrforpieta to stay up to date on all the teams progress. To register your team, email us at [email redacted] with your Team name, Team Members and Team Location (roughly).

Everyone will adhere to all the government guidelines relating to staying within 2km radius of our homes but this will force some team members to get creative and have fun.

Everyone who donates to this great cause in aid of Pieta House will be entered into a raffle to win variety of prizes. . For more info on prizes and to register your interest in taking part please follow our Instagram page  or email your query to the email address below.
