Legal fees for FIPD Chief Devlin

Hi:

We're a group of concerned Fenwick Island residents trying to assist Chief Devlin raise funds to cover his legal expenses. You may not be aware of the issue, but Chief Devlin was notified by the FI mayor that his conttract will not be renewed at the end of August 2023. Chief Devlin was not given a stated cause for the abrupt dismissal.

In March 2023, the council presented Chief Devlin with a commendation for his 20 years of service to the citizens of Fenwick Island. Abruptly after receiving the commendation, the mayor notified the Chief of his dimissal without stating cause.

At a subsequent council meeting the mayor refused to allow Chief Devlin to speak or address the issue.

Chief Devlin has retained an attorney to contest his abrupt firing without stated cause. Let's show Chief Devlin that the community has his back. If you are concerned about possible retribution, donations can be listed anonymously.
