Jasper's Recovery
Donation protected
Jasper is a precious 3 year old who was recently diagnosed with T-cell lymphoblastic lymphoma. On Saturday, April 27th, his mom knew something about his cough and breathing was not right and brought him into the E.R. where a large tumor over his heart was quickly found. It was a terrifying evening for his whole family. Everything moved so fast, there was little time to process what was happening. After being transported to Doernbecher that evening, he was treated with a heavy steroid that had a quick positive effect on his breathing and comfort. Yesterday after they deemed him stable enough for a bone marrow biopsy it was determined to be T-Cell Lymphoblastic Lymphoma.
If you’ve ever had a Jasper hug, you know this guy is pure love. It would be so comforting to wrap his family in the same warmth and support as they enter into a very long and intense journey of recovery for Jasper. Amy has stopped working so that she can be in Portland where he will be for the next couple of months to receive chemotherapy and Kalensky will be drastically reducing his workload in order to be there for Jasper. There will also be many many trips to and from Portland to get Jasper the care he needs over the next 2 1/2 years. Please join me in lightening their load so this experience is a little easier for them. There will be so many expenses along the way with lodging, food, gas, existing and future bills etc. so every little bit really helps and will be so very much appreciated. Thank you so much.
Update: today Jasper has a procedure that will take spinal fluid and test to see if the cancer has made its way to his brain yet and while he’s under, they’ll introduce chemo into the spinal fluid to kill whatever may have gotten in there and/or further protect his brain from it spreading to there. This will be the first of many procedures like this, it is imperative for his recovery that they stop it from spreading any way they can.
