Manchester Half Marathon

A team made up of BAE Systems CS+S employees, friends and family will be running the Manchester Half Marathon on the 13th October 2019.   Some members of the teams families have been affected by Dementia so we have collectively decided to run for the Alzheimer's Society.  Do you want to join us in making a difference?  We're raising money in aid of Alzheimer's Society and every donation will help. Thank you in advance for your contribution to this cause that means so much to our team.   Entry is still open so if you'd like to join the team let me know!

Alzheimer's disease is the most common type of dementia in the UK. Dementia is a syndrome (a group of related symptoms) associated with an on-going decline of brain functioning. It can affect memory, thinking skills and other mental abilities.

The Alzheimer's Society commits itself to maintaining, improving and promoting its unique knowledge and understanding of dementia. It seeks to define and develop quality in its activities and services, to be inclusive of all communities but in particular people with dementia, their families and the professionals who work with them and to work in partnership with other organisations which share its aims.
