Rabbit Angels Rescue was damaged in the storms

On August 29th, a severe thunderstorm seriously damaged the home of 61 rabbits living inside the Rabbit Angels Rescue in Kalamazoo, Michigan. Luckily, no rabbits were injured, and all were swiftly placed with foster families- many of whom are fostering other adoptable rabbits.

We cannot say the same for the rabbits' hutches, bedding, food stores, toys, specialized items and other supplies needed for their care. Volunteers are currently assessing the full extent of the damage. The brand new $1500 cover is a total loss.

Rabbit Angels Rescue currently serves 90 rabbits- taking in bunnies who need care and love. They ensure the rabbits are healthy and spayed or neutered before offering them up for adoption. Numerous volunteers foster, transport, clean, feed, play with, and screen applications to ensure these furry friends get the best chance at a fur-ever home.

And now, the organization is facing an even more significant challenge as they sort through water-logged bags of food, soaked cages, soggy bales of hay and other items needed to care for these bunnies.

The Rescue is seeking funds to replace damaged items needed for the daily upkeep of these rabbits and swiftly find an indoor living arrangement. Please consider donating to support this organization and the sweet souls it serves.
