Rabbits at War-Helping small exotic animals in UA

Donation protected
Conscription has been postponed, and, while the plan was to provide aid to animals, such as rabbits, guinea pigs and rodents throughout the Ukrainian winter, the situation has made more evacuations necessary. Tetyana is therefore for continuing to help in any way possible, this includes both rescuing animals in the Ukraine, as well as evacuating them to safe countries. We thank you very much for your support, We’ll keep on working, please continue to support us. Thank you.  As of October 1, 2022 women will be conscripted into the Ukrainian army. Since no one who falls under the conscription order is able to leave the country, this will prevent Tetyana Bondarenko and her friends from doing any further evacuations after October 1.  This means that September is the last possible opportunity for animals to be evacuated to safety. For this reason at least 2, if funding permits 3, evacuation trips are planned for September. Please help us to evacuate as many animals as possible while there is still time. Thank you so much for your support As soon as the war started, Tetyana Bondarenko and her group of volunteers got to work. Rabbits in UA are located in Lviv and help rabbits and other small exotic animals in Ukraine, which are often neglected victims of war. One part of their work is the distribution of food and medical supplies throughout Ukraine. Another important effort is to rescue rabbits and rodents and bring them to new safe homes, primarily in Germany, Austria and Switzerland. Rabbits are very sensitive animals, therefore safe and as stressless as possible transportation is of pivotal importance. To speed up the evacuation, Tetyana and other members of the Rabbit in UA rescue group recently started to bring rabbits and rodents to their new homes personally as well as using volunteers to transport the animals. However, due to the war situation it is almost impossible to find volunteers that can safely transport these sensitive animals from Ukraine to Germany, Austria and Switzerland. Rabbits in UA are planning two further evacuations in May. More evacuations will follow as funding allows. Each evacuation costs about 250 EUR. The rescue, vet check-up and vaccination costs between 10 and 50 Eur per animal (depending on the city it is located, if immediate veterinary treatment is needed etc). This is the reason for this crowdfunding campaign. Our aim is to collect 2500 EUR to finance at least 5 more evacuations, including the rescue of rabbits and rodents, their veterinary check-ups and transportation to their new homes in Germany, Austria and Switzerland. The collected money will also be used for buying medicine for rabbits and rodents, as well as paying for the delivery of donated pet food to owners, who have lost all income due to the war and are not able to pay for the delivery.
