Kids' Rabbits for Kenya Project

Our family loves rabbits - they are a huge part of our backyard farm. Our kids also want to make a difference in the world. This year they decided as a family to fundraise for the Flying Kites organization that runs a children's home and school in Kenya. One of the main goals of Flying Kites is to be able to provide healthy food for their community, as children can't learn or grow without proper nutrition.  To help accomplish this, Flying Kites is undertaking an expansion of their own farm this year, and Tony, Gus, Anna, Finn, and even Arianna want to be a part of it. They are donating allowance and chore money and raising awareness at school and in their 4-H clubs. And throughout 2017, they will be raising money towards this effort, specifically to help them expand their rabbit project. Rabbits are a great resource on a farm like this, as they are small enough for even smaller children to handle, they do not require a lot of space compared to larger animals, and are a multipurpose animal, can benefit the rest of the farm by creating fertilizer, and can be raised at a lower cost because their commercially-available diet can be supplemented with other locally grown foods. We are excited to donate our own time and energy to help them raise money for this great cause and to promote rabbit raising in Kenya. Please let us know if you have any questions - we'd love your support!

Anna- I want to raise money for Flying Kites because I am very privileged and want to help people who aren't as privileged as me.

Tony- I want to raise money for Flying Kites because it will help the kids in Kenya and help them not be hungry.

Gus- I want to help raise money for Flying Kites because they don't have as much as we do and they don't have parents and need help.

Arianna- I want to help them because they need more food in the whole world.
