Race for a Cure: Peter's Ironman Challenge
Tax deductible
Hi my name is Peter Landerholm and this year I will racing Ironman California, which is a full length 140.6mile triathlon consisting of a 2.4 mile swim, 112 mile bike, and a full 26.2mile marathon at the very end. My goal is to raise $10,000 for spinal cord injury research through competing.
My story:
In 2019 I broke my neck at the C4/C5 level and was completely paralyzed from the neck down. Upon my injury, I thought I would never walk again let alone get the privilege to make a full recovery. Through my time in the hospital and rehab I became incredibly aware of how lucky we are everyday to walk and move because it could be taken away from you in an instant. Every year, it is estimated 250,000 people have spinal cord injuries. Through your help of raising money we can support finding a cure and making a serious impact on the lives of millions worldwide.
I have 7 months until race day on October 19th. I did a half ironman (70.3 miles) this last year, which was the hardest physical challenge I have done. Now lets double it and raise money for wings for life SCI charity
Wings for Life is a not for profit nationally recognized foundation for spinal cord research. We use donations to support promising research projects and clinical studies worldwide to heal the injured spinal cord. Our mission is to find a cure for spinal cord injuries. Because science agrees: injured nerve cells are capable of regeneration. Support us in achieving our goal.
Lets make a change!
