Race for Courage
Tax deductible
These Are a Few of My Favorite Things Two years ago, I ran my first half-marathon on behalf of Kids of Courage (KOC) an organization that provides support to chronically ill children and their families. Last year, my son ran it with me. This year, the Miami Marathon is virtual, but I am training again to run in late January. Although the pandemic prevented KOC from hosting its annual travel camp and other get-togethers for its kids, it did not prevent KOC from continuing its critical work supporting its campers and their families with equipment, counseling and referrals. These efforts are especially important for a population that is medically vulnerable during the COVID pandemic. The pre-run pasta party will be just me, the post-race BBQ will be at home . . . but the cause is the same, and I invite you to support my run and KOC. And, because nothing attracts a crowd like a crowd . . . we have (as of November 5) raised nearly $1,000 directly at the KOC website.
