Race to the Stones for Barnaby Webber
Donation protected
Hi I’m Emily and I’m going to be running a 100km ultramarathon in memory of Barnaby Webber from a start point of never having run a race outside of school!
Barnaby was a close family friend, a second younger brother to me and one of my brothers best friends growing up. He was horrifically killed in an attack in Nottingham on June 13 2023 and leaves behind a mother, father, younger brother and many many friends all over the world. Barnaby was the type of person that fit into any sort of scenario, any crowd of people and made life for those around him a happier, more positive place! He had a kindness in his face that made him approachable and a heart that went along with this.
Taken from the page his parents set up in his memory:
‘An official 'Barnaby Webber Foundation' is in the process of being created and funds will be used to further all of the qualities listed above and to keep his memory alive whilst reaching out to others.
It will have two purposes.
The first to provide support and inclusion for young people aged 18 and under who are facing life challenges (be it physical, mental, emotional or social). This may be through other charities, schools or organisations but can also be directly to an individual or family.
Secondly the foundation will support grassroots cricket clubs through the provision of essential equipment and items needed to encourage young boys and girls (aged 18 and under) to get involved in playing cricket.
If you wish to donate in this interim period, please do so here. It will all be fully forwarded to the foundation once the finer details have been arranged. It will be so very gratefully received, and always always well used.’
