Rach shaving her hair for #TeamLuke
Donation protected
We are raising money for the ongoing medical treatment of Luke Bell, an inspirational young man and member of our rugby club (Darlington Mowden Park Minis) who was diagnosed with a rare form of cancer known as High Risk Neuroblastoma. We urge you to read up on his story and follow his blog to see how the #TeamLuke fundraising efforts are progressing.
So why a picture of my wife, well Luke is the same age as my daughter, so it hits close to home, and unfortunately as a side effect of his treatment Luke has lost his hair, and me offering to shave mine is not really putting the effort in. My wife Rachel has beautiful hair, long, beautiful hair - and she's prepared to lose it all to help Luke, we don't know how long it will take to grow back, and yes, she's fully prepared to go through life, work, every day funny looks and comments till it returns - because that, hard s it is will be *nothing* compared to what little Luke is going through.
As soon as your donations surpass the £1000 barrier we'll arrange this for one Sunday morning after Minis Rugby training at Darlington Mowden Park Rugby Club (one of many things that Luke is currently missing out on). Do we want her to do this, not really, but we want the best treatment possible for Luke so that he can get better, and back to running around with the other kids more.
Do what you can - thank you
