Rachel's Recovery

Donation protected
On June 19, Rachel Barkley underwent surgery to remove a tumor from inside her upper spinal cord after experiencing a few weeks of pain and trouble moving her legs — after giving birth to her healthy baby boy Hudson on May 21. On July 12, Rachel entered physical rehab at an acute spinal care injury rehab hospital in Philadelphia and will remain there through early September as she works to regain major movements and functions in her arms and legs.

This GoFundMe page is designed to be a central place to receive donations specifically for Rachel's recovery process. The donations initially went directly toward immediate family needs such as housing, hospital visitation travel, supplies for Hudson, food, etc., but donations are now directly focused on covering the costs for major modifications to make Taylor & Rachel's home accessible and functional for their family once Rachel returns home.

Read more here on CaringBridge  for continued updates on Rachel's recovery.

FYI about GoFundMe: The GoFundMe platform is free to use. A standard transaction fee of 2.9% plus $0.30 per donation allows for credit card processing and safe transfer of funds.

Aside from those transaction costs, 100% of the funds raised here will go directly to Rachel and her immediate family.
