Rachel Creevy for Hartlepool MP Campaign

Hello, my name is Rachel Creevy. I am Labour Councillor for De Bruce ward in Hartlepool.

 

I am standing for selection to be Labour's next Member of Parliament for Hartlepool.

 

I'm putting myself forward because I have the skills and the life experience, both personally and professionally, to represent the people of Hartlepool from all walks of life.

 

Integrity and authenticity to inspire others is sorely missing in our politics right now. Every day people in Hartlepool are finding it harder and harder to get by as the cost of living crisis increases pressure on families. To win back Hartlepool, Labour's candidate is going to need to be someone who can lead with passion, be driven to improve lives and the places people live and always with honesty. I believe that I am that candidate.

 

Getting selected is no easy task. To be able to engage with party members, tell them my story and hopefully persuade them to vote for me at the Hustings meeting, The Labour Party allows me to spend up to £1000, for which I have to account for. 

As a grassroots campaign, I'm starting from scratch. Any money you donate will go towards literature, phone calls, postage, meeting rooms, etc.  I will provide accounts to demonstrate where the money has been spent to any donor who requests it.

If you've watched my journey, you will know that I am passionate about people, about standing up for those who need a voice the most, about improving the lives of those around me. I will stand up for residents. I will work to find solutions to problems. I will always fight injustice. From volunteering at the age of 18 to help homeless people, to campaigning against Racism, to more recent campaigns against cuts to school crossing patrols, raising questions about potential pollution to our local environment or seeking practical solutions to housing issues for families in our area, I have always sought to help those around me and improve my local area.
For this reason I strongly feel that I am the right person to represent our town in Parliament.
