Help Rachel Grammer Beat Breast Cancer
Donation protected
On February 16, at age 34, Rachel was diagnosed with metastatic breast cancer. If you know Rachel, you know that cancer picked the wrong woman to mess with. She’s the toughest and perhaps most stubborn person I know. (I’m allowed to say that because I’m her sister!) While her strength is admirable, her compassion and kindness for others is even greater. Rachel loves her family and friends fiercely and is everyone’s biggest supporter.
Rachel and her husband Ryan have two young children, Beckett (6) and Mackenzie (4). Beckett is in kindergarten and Mackenzie attends Ottawa Area Center for children with special needs. Rachel is a magnificent mother and fights tirelessly to ensure her children are on the right path for success. She’s also an incredible 4th grade teacher and I witnessed the heartache she felt when she realized she wouldn’t be able to finish the school year with her students.
On March 8th, Rachel will undergo major surgery with a mastectomy and lymph node removal. 6 weeks later she will begin 5 months of chemotherapy followed by 6 weeks of radiation. Rachel will be unable to work during this time which will significantly alter her income. Our hope with this campaign is to coverage Rachel’s medical costs and help alleviate the financial burden that this life changing medical diagnosis will bring upon the Grammer family. Your generosity is greatly appreciated.
Please keep Rachel and her family in your thoughts and prayers as she begins her battle against cancer.
