Rachel Robinette with medical expenses
Donation protected
Hi my name is Thomas Matte.
I am setting up this fund to try and help my beautiful niece Rachel, a few years ago Rachel was diagnosed with a Glioblastoma tumor (brain tumor) at the young age of 25. She has been through several surgeries and multiple rounds of treatment fighting this terrible disease and is one of the strongest young women I've ever known. She has recently been experiencing blurred vision, and difficulty with speech, and now she is having seizures, with the most recent being early this morning which included 4 seizures simultaneously. They are trying to determine the best way to proceed , with the seizure medication not being very effective. It is truly heartbreaking to see such a beautiful young 28 year old have to endure this horrible disesase. If at all possible, please donate to help ease her financial burden.
Above all please keep this angel in your constant thoughts and prayers for comfort and healing.
On behalf of her late mother Tracey and our entire family, we thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
Below is a note from her best friend Dan Robinette :
It's 4am and I'm a mess. I've spent the last 3.5 years trying to run away from the thoughts and feelings currently going through my head. From the first day you got those headaches when we thought it was something simple and easy to your medical emergency after Hamilton on Tuesday night. This has felt like an eternity and it wasn't until going through an old phone and seeing your smile, seeing the videos of you laughing and happy and acting goofy like you always have, that I realized how different life has gotten since your diagnosis. One thing has stayed the same however, and that's your strength and your pure resilience during any difficult situation you've ever faced throughout your far too challenging life. You've gone through more at age 28 than most will ever face in a lifetime. Yet, yesterday after being in the hospital once again, facing new symptoms that never seem to get better and news that never seems to improve, you were laughing....and smiling. You cracked jokes with the nurses and tried to make them laugh when you're the one going through hell. That's just who you are. In the 10 years I've known you, life hasn't been the kindest, or normal by any means. Still, we've remained close friends and I would still call you my best friend. Wedding ring or not. Legal document or not. You have been and will always be the greatest part of my life and I wouldn't ever want to imagine a life without you in it. I love you Rachel Robinette
