Rachel Ruggeri medical expenses

Donation protected
As many of you know, early last year my niece Rachel was diagnosed with Stage 3 Alveolar Rhabdomyosarcoma.

She has endured an entire year of chemo, two months of radiation, surgery, and many hospitalizations from the side effects of the multiple medicines that were included in her chemo treatments.

Her treatments were part of a clinical trial so there were unexpected side effects that caused her to be very ill at times.  While Dennis & Maribeth do have insurance not everything is covered.

They have a percentage that they are responsible for not to mention the fact that Maribeth was unable to work that entire time because Rachel's treatments were weekly and very intense. For awhile it seemed that about every 4th week she had to be hospitalized for her treatments meaning that Maribeth had to get her to and from and spend an inordinate amount of time at the hospital meaning she was spending money to be there. In early September she was hospitalized for a whole month. She was sent home twice that month and within 24 hours she was right back at the ER and hospitalized again.

Thank God and Rachel's medical team that Rachel is in "remission" but is now taking a maintenance chemo for the next six months, meaning Maribeth still is not able to get back to work.  We are grateful for all of the support she has received thus far and appreciate any help anyone can offer.
