Power in the Union: Rachel/SAG
Our friend, Rachel Crowl is an amazing actress about to fulfill a lifelong dream: joining a performer's union. Funds raised here will go directly to Rachel so that she can join SAG/AFTRA. She'll need the funds in a week or two, but sooner is better than later.
Rachel has already done the impossible; she's revived her career and craft as an actor after years of self-imposed exile. She co-starred in a film that won an award at the L.A. Film Festival, got a full page article about her in the LA Times, and she has already landed more work.
She also has also changed the conversation about trans actors in Hollywood with a single brilliant performance.
The thing most people don't know about filmmaking and filmmakers is that we do what we love, not necessarily what pays the most. Filmmakers pay rent, too.
Countless people love Rachel. People who love her helped get her out to the West Coast to do the film that won the award. She's proven to be a good investment; she's already an amazing friend.
Taking care of this will help Rachel and Helen have a little extra piece of mind as Rachel starts her next film, the one that requires she join the union.
She promised us rides in private jet when she makes it big(I just made that up). Come on, look at that smile.
One more time for Rachel. We got this.
