The Rachel King Memorial Fund

The Rachel King Memorial Fund will honor the life of Rachel King, a devoted single mother, treasured teacher, and beloved sister and daughter. Rachel was tragically shot and killed in a homicide on April 11, 2023, in the presence of her 11-year-old son, Jalen. Rachel was only 35.

Rachel was a cherished member of the Grover Cleveland Elementary Schools community, where she had taught for over a decade. Her loss has left a deep void in the lives of her family, friends, colleagues and students.

This memorial fund has been established by her family in Rachel's honor to cover any unexpected expenses, and to benefit her son Jalen in the future. Donations made to this fund will help alleviate the financial burden on Rachel's family during this difficult time and ensure that Jalen has the continuing support he needs. Together, we will help keep Rachel's memory alive and honor the impact that she had on the lives of those around her.
