Rachelle Hansen’s Cancer Fundraiser

We are setting up this GoFundMe page to help Rachelle offset her work loss, medical costs, transportation costs and all things associated with this diagnosis. In setting up this fund we hope to ease the burden going forward to help fight this disease and assist her in a full recovery. 

Rachelle was diagnosed with metastatic invasive ductal carcinoma, that has spread to her lymph nodes and skin. The doctors believe she has a rare form of breast cancer,  inflammatory breast cancer, which only occurs in 2% of the women diagnosed with Breast Cancer.  This will result in an aggressive treatment plan. She has also undergone extensive imaging and doctors appointments for the past few weeks. Today we received her treatment plan. She will start chemo in the next week or two, pending another procedure tomorrow at 10 am. She will do a form of chemo once a week for 12 weeks and then follow up with another form of chemo every other week for 8 weeks. Once chemo is done, they will do a mastectomy and follow up with approximately 5 weeks of radiation.

Rachelle is receiving her care at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester. Please keep her in your thoughts and prayers, as she puts her boxing gloves on and fights Breast Cancer!
