Rachel's College Fund for University of Hawaii

Hi my name is Rachel Westover and I am currently a Junior the University of Rhode Island. I am a double major studying in Psychology and Criminology/ Criminal Justice. I was accepted into a two week, J-Term program with the opportunity to study at the University of Hawaii at Manoa over winter break. This University was my dream school and I now have the opportunity to attend. The course that I will be taking is Exercise as Therapy. Some of the activities this course offers includes completing a surf therapy program to teach disabled children and injured veterans how to surf, as well as attend the Pearl Harbor Memorial, and learn about Hawaii's indigenous population. I am not only a member of URI Club Dance, but I am very passionate about exercise and fitness and how it relates to mental health. I am trying to raise funds for my tuition, housing, meals, and airfare for this experience. This is a once in a lifetime opportunity.
