Rachel’s Dental Implant Surgery
Meet Rachel. She is a 2 time cancer survivor, a warrior, and an inspiration! And she is my friend. I am sharing this story for her because she needs our help.
She was 26 years old when she first heard the words, "you have cancer". It was terminal and she had a 10% chance of survival. Rachel had the fight of a warrior and used positivity and laughter to get through it all. What I mean by "ALL" is - drug induced coma, brain surgery, multiple rounds of chemo and total body radiation, a RELAPSE and a stem cell transplant. She beat the odds both times, but the story doesn't stop here. She experienced plenty of side effects from all of her treatments, including lymphedema, neuropathy, brain damage, infertility and countless gynecological surgeries. One of the most devastating direct effects of treatments included the loss of 10 of her molars, all of which cracked and broke in her mouth and now recently her front tooth. She can barely chew. As she heard her front tooth crack, she sat in her bed in shock as tears ran down her face. But this is why Rachel is an inspiration. After all of this, she felt the need to help and started a non profit called UCAAN (United Cancer Advocacy Action Network). She works tirelessly volunteering, motivating and inspiring other cancer patients all across America, providing information to on how to prevent dental deterioration during cancer treatments, because you see - if the correct info was given to Rachel, it would have saved all of her teeth for only for only $200.

While she works so hard helping other people, it is time for Rachel to get our help. She needs dental implants so she can chew. My friend deserves that and I hope that you will find it in your hearts to help us achieve our goal.
Her surgery will cost anywhere between $50,000-$60,000. It would be life changing for her, not just to help her eat but give her the much needed and wanted support that she generously gives each day to other cancer patients. And here is the reason why her wish is for implants vs. dentures:
