Rachels Recovery Journey - You Got This Girl!!!

Dear Friends and Family,
This fundraiser is to help Rachel Newton in her time of need. On September 2nd Rachel suffered a ruptured brain aneurysm while her daughter Jordan was rushing her to the hospital. She was admitted to the ICU where she underwent surgery to relieve pressure in her brain and later underwent an angiogram surgery with a successful coil treatment. Rachel was in the ICU for over 2 weeks to monitor her condition. As Rachel was recovering in the hospital, they learned her vision is impaired and will need additional surgeries in each eye to try and regain her sight.
Rachel was moved to a rehab center for further recovery 5 weeks ago but was sent back to the hospital the same day due to still needing hospital care. Rachel is now back at the rehab center recovering and going through rehabilitation while waiting for her eye surgeries scheduled in mid-November for the first eye and second eye is TBD on outcome of first eye surgery.
With Rachel’s vision impaired throughout her recovery process, it has become very challenging for Rachel. She struggles with simple hygiene tasks that we all take for granted and needs assistance with everything. She cannot walk unassisted for more than a few steps without assistance. Her brain is telling her to go towards the left as this is the side of the ruptured aneurysm which causes her even more confusion.
Rachel will soon be sent home to continue to recover where her current home is not safe for her to live. She will need around-the-clock care and assistance with rehabilitation. Rachel, her mom Linda, and her daughter Jordan will need a place with one floor living arrangements. Rachels son Vidal has been the family ROCK and his mom’s greatest advocate from day 1 in the hospital and rehab to ensure his mom gets the best care. Linda, who is 72 years young, has been by her daughter’s side while trying to maintain her job, their home, and the bills they shared together. Jordan who is in high school has been a huge help with grocery shopping, helping Oma and taking care of their home in her mom’s absence.
With all the stress and strain this tragic event has put on the entire family, we are reaching out to find them some help to ease their worries with medical, bills, housing, and Rachels long term recovery needs.
The family appreciates any heartfelt support during these unfortunate and difficult times throughout Rachel’s road to recovery journey. Please consider helping share this to others who may be inspired to contribute Rachel’s recovery as well.
Thank you for all your prayers, love, and support.
Vidal and Jordan,
Thank you for saving your mom's life. Without you both, she may not of made it. You are true angels!!
Love,
Oma, Rainer, and Evie
