Racing for Roe on Loon

Donation protected
Hello all….

10 years, 10 years..10 wild years.

About a decade ago, I leveled up where I started to dig deep. I showed up for my life because I had no other choice..and then was able to choose which path I wanted. A path that allowed me to start to figure out what my insides were made of. It’s been such a revolutionary trip…and has brought me a lot of hardships, lessons, grief, self acceptance, love, adventure and more so importantly…grace and growth on finding my voice and who I am.

With this voice, freedom and foundation - it has allowed me to carry the torch, be a blazer and to be a server to create positive ripple effects to help those who either don’t have a voice, scared these days to use it or who did have one at one time..but no longer does. To be a visual shoulder to lean on, a fighter.

It’s been 10 years since I entered road races. It’s been 10 years since I’ve pushed for that.

Four days ago I found out about an event called the Loon Mountain Race in Lincoln NH on July 10th, 2022. It has the reputation as one of the country’s toughest mountain races. It is 6.02 miles long and has grades up to 40% incline..all on ups and downs of the ski slopes…with a total of over 3k vertical climb to the summit of Loon Mountain.  It is a beast. Time to vibe with it.

Mountains are home for me, climbing and pushing myself is not a new repertoire, especially lately. However, this race sounds horrid and difficult and it will push me and wreck me…so naturally, I’m intrigued.

I was going to sign up….then June 24, 2022 happened. Roe Vs. Wade was overturned.

I want to flip over so many tables.

GOVERNMENT AND MEN SHOULD NOT BE MAKING LAWS ABOUT WOMENS BODIES.

It’s about control AGAIN, (and on so many other subjects).  I personally have a massive issue with this.

It will hurt so many women and families.
It is stripping women of our power.
It has taken away the right to choose and have our body autonomy.

The treatment for an ectopic pregnancy is an abortion.
The treatment for a septic uterus is an abortion.
The treatment for a woman who finds herself mentally, physically, financially, :::other reasons insert here::: unable to proceed with a pregnancy is an abortion.

No contraceptive is 100%.  whether you’re a man, whether you’re a woman.

Coat hangers are not healthcare..but it’s looking that way again.

More importantly…when the penalty for aborting after rape is more severe than the penalty for rape…THAT’S WHEN YOU KNOW IT’S A WAR ON WOMEN.

So now I’m entering this race with a cause. I’m setting up this page to accept donations.  The amount raised will go to women’s health organizations/abortion funds in high rape states (which shockingly, but not shockingly) are in the south/west which have ZERO abortion protection laws.

It’s not much but it’s something…and something is better than nothing.

There were so many women before me who fought for themselves which in turn allows me to have what I have today as an independent woman. I am proud of that. To be a pillar is part of my code. If you’re fighting and struggling..I am proud of you too.

So dig deep.  Help, fight.  Fight for your sister, your mother, your best friend, your grandmother, your wife, your girlfriend, your daughter and the women you don’t know who are so scared now on where to turn. We are losing our voice and choice.

Because this is the beginning of what will be restricted.

(if this reaches you and you’re in a tough spot and need to travel to NH for help please message me, you will be taken care of.)

Thank you,

Love always,
Bethgnarly
