RAD Gear Box - adaptive outdoor recreation gear

Come join us in making a difference!

This campaign is raising funds for the 1st RAD Gear Box. A 20’ shipping container, renovated into a fully wheelchair accessible adaptive equipment rental shop. Adaptive kayaking, hiking, biking, skiing, beach access, etc. will all be accessible through the Gear Box.

Support for this prototype project comesfrom numerous locations across Western Canada. The first being Squamish BC, Canada’s capital of recreation, second making the beaches and water/surfing accessible in Tofino BC and third into Whitehorse YT; with cooperation from local businesses and organizations to help break down barriers to outdoor sport and rec.

Let’s work together to include our friends and family in the outdoors! Whether aging with a mobility challenge or into one, everyone deserves to participate as independently as they desire.
