Radiation and cancer treatment
Donation protected
Hi! Many of you already know my story. But, I am going to reiterate for the new people in my life. In 2019 I was diagnosed with Uterine cancer and had to undergo a radical hysterectomy. When they removed my uterus, it was adhered to my bowel and I had to undergo many bouts of radiation and chemotherapy. They got it under control and I was good to go. Then in January of 2020, my life was turned upside down with a Leukemia diagnosis. The words terminal were used because this type of leukemia(CML) is treatable but not curable. Needless to say, life has been a whirlwind since then.
Now to the present. This past Monday I went to my female doctor for a check up and during the exam, the doctor found another raised spot where I had cancer previously at the end of my bowel. They did a biopsy in the office that day and submitted a claim to my insurance for seed radiation to be conducted. My insurance has since denied this treatment because they say it is Precautionary.
So, now I am coming very humbly to all of my friends and family to ask for help. I have to choose between a life-saving treatment or paying my bills, so I need your help so that will not be a choice I have to make.
