Miles Raymond Balthrop was a smart 15-year-old boy who was learning how to live in a very big and loud world. It was a challenge, but he was improving. Then on June 7th, he went to the emergency room. Instead of what everyone thought was an infection, it turned out to be large D-Cell Lymphoma. He was admitted to Children’s Medical Center and got through 2 rounds of chemotherapy. Like a great many things in his life, he had a great many challenges and side effects to deal with but he faced them all with bravery and a good attitude.
On July 28th, Miles had developed an infection that progressed rapidly to septic shock. They airlifted him to Children’s Hospital in Dallas but he went into cardiac arrest and they couldn’t bring him back.
Losing a child suddenly and unexpectedly can cause financial hardship on any family, on top of the emotional hardship they are experiencing. These funds will help offset any funeral expenses as well as a family vacation that is needed to regroup and bond after such a devastating loss. Please give as your heart desires.
