Radical Faerie Gathering in Palestine

We are living in one of the darkest periods in the history of Palestine/Israel. Amidst violence, darkness, hatred, and ignorance from all sides, a glimmer of hope has emerged within us, a group of Palestinian queers and allies. We are determined to initiate the first Radical Fairies gathering in Palestine this coming 19th-22nd of February.

This gathering will take place in Arabic, and in English if necessary, and is hoped to be the beginning of a community, a community that brings healing to its members and to society as a whole.

The fairy light shines even in the darkest of times, and we need this love. The gathering will be held in Area C of the occupied West Bank, to enable fairies living in the West Bank to attend. This is a bold and pioneering step, where queers choose to meet.

What support do we need from you? We are launching this modest fundraising campaign because our community still lacks financial support. This is our first gathering.

The funds are simply needed to cover the costs of the gathering – food, accommodation, and other expenses – and to allow fairies who cannot afford to pay to participate in the event.
