RAF air cadets Junior Leaders course

More information about The John Thornton Young Achievers Foundation: The aim of the John Thornton Young Achievers Foundation is to encourage and assist young people to ‘climb as high as they can dream.’ Whatever their dream, we hope to help them achieve it. The JTYAF provides bursaries and scholarships to young people from 18 youth organisations aimed at supporting their personal development and the pursuit of their ambitions.

One of these organisations is the RAF air cadets Junior Leaders course. The aim of its is to develop young minds, from the age of 17-20, and broaden thier horizons for future life. This is achived by putting students of the couse through critical thinking positions in a militaristic feildcraft setting. What this achives is several things. 1. Organisational skills and administrative skills. 2. The ability to manage and develop those who are under their leadership. And finally, 3. Demonstrate the knowledge they learn in a practical setting. However this cant be done without the support of the JTYAF. And in return for this students are to raise a collective amount of funds to give back to the charity and support the relation between the two organisations.
