RAGBRAI Newbies for Iowa Bicycle Coalition
Tax deductible
Hi friends,
Doing RAGBRAI last year was one of my favorite experiences of my life, and I had no idea I had Iowa Bicycle Coalition to thank for much of the opportunity.
The Iowa Bicycle Coalition is a nonprofit working for bicycle advocacy in Iowa. The IBC team works closely with elected officials to impact legislation to make Iowa a safe place to ride a bicycle, meaning everyone who rides RAGBRAI benefits from their hard work.
RAGBRAI can't happen without the support of the IBC, and to say thank you for helping Iowa cyclists stay safe, and THANK YOU for helping make RAGBRAI possible, I have started this fundraiser.
Instead of taking payment for RAGBRAI Newbie Group tattoos (coming soon, distributed at the expo), I'm asking that anyone who wants one (or anyone who wants to thank IBC!) considers making a donation of any size to this fundraiser (or start your own GoFundMe for IBC so that we can help them raise $20,000 to reach their annual goal of $75,000).
This Newbies group knows how to pass along help, advice and support to each other - I hope we can extend it past the group and give a big thank-you back to the group that makes this experience possible.
Iowa isn't my home state, but knowing how hard the IBC works to make Iowa a safe and welcome place for me to ride makes my heart feel at home there!
With love and Gratitude,
Anna (Founder of the RAGBRAI Newbies Group)
