Hi, my name is Raghad, and I’m reaching out to share my story with you. I’m a 24-year-old final-year medical student, and my journey has been anything but easy. I started my studies at Ahfad University for Women in Sudan back in 2016, driven by a deep passion for medicine and a desire to help others.

However, since 2018, my life has been turned upside down by the political unrest in Sudan. Classes continued even amidst the violence, but everything changed dramatically in April 2023 when war broke out. My family and I had to flee our home multiple times, losing everything we owned along the way. For a year, we lived as refugees, navigating uncertainty and fear before finally escaping to Egypt.

In the midst of this chaos, I received an incredible opportunity: my university arranged for us to continue our studies at the Arab Academy for Science and Technology and Maritime Transport in Al-Alamein, Egypt. It felt like a beacon of hope! But with this opportunity comes a significant challenge—tuition fees totaling 6,750 CAD , which my family simply cannot afford right now. My father lost his job during the crisis, adding to our struggles.

My passion for helping others has led me to volunteer with organizations back in Sudan like the "Patient Support Organization" and "Sadagat Charity." These experiences have opened my eyes to the challenges many face in accessing healthcare, especially in underserved communities.

I’m excited to take it a step further by organizing awareness programs in remote villages in Sudan. I believe that education and support can truly change lives, and I want to be part of that change.

I’m reaching out to you with a humble request for help. Your support could make all the difference in allowing me to complete my final year of medical school.

The money will be used to pay the university fees which is 6,750 CAD, the first installment at 26th of September and to cover the accommodation fees.

A dear friend of mine, Dania, is helping me manage donations from Canada since I currently can’t open a bank account here in Egypt. Dania will then transfer the funds to Egypt via Western Union or MoneyGram.
