Running Ragnar for our Rights

Ragnar is a series of long-distance, overnight relay races across the country. Teams of 12 split into 2 vans and support their runners in an intense, continuous race over sidewalks, paths, and road shoulders over a period of two days and a night. In the three years that our team has been running the roughly 200-mile Cape Cod (Hull to Provincetown) route, we have shared incredible moments and pushed ourselves beyond what we thought our bodies were capable of. We are so grateful for the amazing times we've had, and for our fourth year, we want to give back. There are so many great causes to support, but when we started discussing the idea of raising money for charity it quickly became clear that there was one that everyone felt passionately about: the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU).
The ACLU's mission is to ensure the rights enshrined in the Constitution and guaranteed to all Americans are defended, preserved, and expanded. ACLU members perform essential work safeguarding our democracy, and a donation to the ACLU Foundation will support its litigation, communications, advocacy, and public education efforts. The ACLU is nonpartisan and has always vigorously challenged attempts to restrict our rights, regardless of the party in power. Civil liberties are essential to life as a free citizen, and we couldn't be prouder to be raising money for their preservation.
Our team, Chopped Livery, has 12 members, and since this will be our fourth year running the Cape, we've set a fundraising goal for ourselves of $400 each, or $4,800 total. The past three years have been an incredible journey for us - please join us for the fourth!
