Rags to Riches Animal Rescue Inc Facility

Hey guys!
Rags to Riches Animal Rescue inc is a local non-profit that aims to control the animal population crisis. We have provided medical care, spays & neuters, vaccinations, and shelter for thousands of homeless and/or neglected animals in the Tampa Bay area. In the past year alone, we’ve vetted and adopted out hundreds homeless cats and dogs into loving forever homes. We practice TNR (Trap, Neuter, Return) for adult feral cats who have passed the socialization age to successfully live in a home and we fix, foster, and adopt out young kittens so they do not have to live life on the streets. My name is Dominique Amerosa, and I am the founder of this non-profit. Rags to Riches started as foster-based rescue with a few dedicated volunteers who offered their homes to pets until the right adopters came along. This can take days, weeks, months – or even upwards of a year, and despite our best efforts, the animal population continues to grow and we cannot continue to intake without adoptions. I am continuously called upon to rescue animals – several people around the Tampa Bay community tag me in posts on Facebook daily and text my personal phone asking for help with abandoned strays in their neighborhoods. The sad reality is, as a 501(c)(3) organization, we rely entirely from the public for donations to care for these animals and we simply do not have the funds or resources to save as many as we want to save. We recently came up with a creative solution to continue to combat our lack of housing: a cat-café focusing on community engagement and the opportunity to meet and adopt homeless pets. The café will have a large, separate intake area for animals to live until adopted, and a meet and greet area for animals lovers to come hang with our animals. Not only will our cat-café offer more housing, socialization and potential adoptions for our pets, but it will also be a wonderful community gathering spot. We plan to host events such as art classes, movie nights, educational lectures/speakers and more. Our current fosters are excited to help with operations of the café, but we can also provide volunteer hours for high schoolers and others seeking a way to give back. Rags to Riches has ventured the idea on our Facebook, and neighbors have already expressed excitement for the café! If you’re able to sponsor or know of anyone who’d like to help contribute to our dream. Please check out our Facebook page Rags To Riches Animal Rescue Inc all right
