Lisa's rally against cancer!

I am a friend of Lisa's reaching out to help her and her three children get through what has been a very difficult time healthwise for Lisa. Let me explain who Lisa is. Lisa is one of the most thoughtful, caring loving women I have ever known. Ever since I have know her she has done for others mainly her three chidren Christopher, Taylor and Tori. Lisa just turned 51. Lisa was divoriced 11 years ago and has done an amazing job raising her three kids. She is very selfless and has always put her children number one. Lisa works full-time at Kenosha Unified School District in the area of special education. Lisa talks about her students all the time and how much she loves her job. Lisa is extremly loving and patient in all walks of her life. She would do anything for anybody. This is why I want to try and help rid her of the finacncial stress she has been under due to her health situations. Starting back last January 2015. Lisa was admitted into the hospital for six nights with a bowel obstruction due to Chrohns disease. She was put on medication but soon after and throughout the summer complications began once again. This past Oct. she was again admitted into the hospital with an extreme amount of inflamation. During this stay her Doctor performed a colonosopy and a few days later Lisa was told her had cancer. As of today Lisa has had numerous Doctors visits to froedert Medical College as well as seeing her team here in Kenosha. Lisa has undergone two biopsies and has had her port placed and has had surgery to remove the tumor mass. This all began Oct. 18th and it has been one big rollercoaster for Lisa and her family. Lisa has been on FMLA since the end of October working intermittently when she can. Lisa had surgery at froedert on December 2nd. It was a two week recovery for Lisa after her surgery. Lisa has no sick or personal days left to take nor does she has short term disabilty. To add more stress and hardship shortly after surgery Lisa bagan "not feeling right". As she always does she plugged away getting ready for Christmas but all along felt somehting wasn't right. On Saturday December 26th she followed her instinct and went to the ER. Low and behold Lisa had several pulmanary embolisms (blood clots) on both sides of her lungs. They began Lovenox injections while in the hospital and Lisa will continue giving herself daily injections for at least six months. Lisa still has to face her treatment for her cancer which will be chemo and radiation beginning Jan. 7th. She will recieve six weeks of treatment. The first week will be four days of chemo then weeks two, three, four and five Lisa will recieve radiation five days a week then week six back to chemo for four days. Her team at both locations told Lisa that is will be difficult to work during her six weeks of treatment and that there is a month recovery afterward. Last Sept. 2015 the courts told Lisa her children would have to be placed on her healthcare plan which increased not only money taken each paycheck but her deductable rose from $500.00 as an individual to $2500.00 for a family. Lisa's shots to dissolve her clots are $550.00 for a 20 day supply until her deductable is met. Starting January 1st 2016 she starts over with her deductable. The money earned through gofundme with help with Lisa's medical needs. Let's help relieve some of the stress by earning enough money towards her deductable. Anything beyond that will go towords her mortgage. I brought up setting up a gofundme account over a month ago when I talked with Lisa and she was obviously very stressed about the financial hardship it was beginning to take on her but she said "I got this". I had another conversation with her when she got out of the hospital and I simply told her I was going to set up the account for her. She is under so much stress that I can't even imagine. So let's show Lisa some love and support. She needs to focus on her healing righ now and the finacial stress is not helping her. She is so very grateful for any help you can offer to her and her children. It would mean so so much to her. This will start on Lisa's wall then PLEASE share. Let's get her to her goal so she can just focus on her treatment.
