This fundraising is for an urgent Appeal to Build a Safe Mosque for Eyukinga Muslim Community.

The Muslim community of Eyukinga in Ewanga Sub-county, Madi Okollo District, West Nile, Uganda, has long struggled with inadequate worship facilities. Their current mosque, a small, 20-year-old mud structure, is now on the verge of collapse, especially during storms. It poses significant risks to worshippers and is too small to accommodate the growing population. As a result, many, particularly the youth, have stopped attending prayers.

With most families surviving on less than a dollar a day, rebuilding the mosque is beyond their financial reach. The nearest mosque is 5 kilometers away, making it difficult for many to access. This community urgently needs a new, safer, and more spacious mosque that will not only serve as a place for daily prayers but also offer madrasa classes for children and the elderly.

Gift Foundation, an indigenous NGO in Arua, appeals to well-wishers, philanthropists, and generous Samaritans to help fund the construction of a new mosque complete with an ablution area and toilets. Your donation, no matter how small, can make a significant difference in restoring hope and strengthening the spiritual lives of this destitute community.
