Raidio Corca Basicinn

Raidio Corca Baiscinn is an non-profit community run radio station operating in South West Clare since 1999, delivering a vital public benefit to the residents of South West Clare. Broadcasting plays a key role in raising public awareness of local artists, festivals and events. RCB also promotes social inclusion and creativity. The vast majority of our programing is produced by local volunteers and tailored to a local audience. The content ranges from in-house produced audio plays and documentaries to traditional music by a range of local artists.

The coverage area has suffered from population decline in recent years and is typified by sparsely populated rural towns and villages that are highly dependent on agriculture, tourism and hospitality. RCB does what commercial radio can't by focusing on specific interests and encouraging greater participation in local events and culture. All while providing an invaluable source of news and culture.

This fundraiser would permit greater outreach work within the community, increase the profile and presence of RCB, allow us greater interaction with our volunteers. grow our audience and ultimately raise awareness of arts and culture in South West Clare.
