Railroad Street Fire Fundraiser

Friends, your help is needed. Today, on one of the most brutally cold days of the year, members of our community suffered a devastating loss. 

This was a double whammy in that the family whose house was lost had also taken in a homeless family in November. So not only did the homeowners lose everything they hold dear, and the roof over their heads - but the family taking shelter there with them lost the very few belongings they have on earth. 

We need your help to get them back on their feet again. 

There is a list of clothing and sizes to be found on our Facebook page, This Is Duncannon but beyond that - the Red Cross can only provide them with shelter for the short term and with no insurance, that will quickly run out and they will have nowhere to go. 

Any donation of any amount, even just $1 will go a long way toward helping both families rebuild their lives and once again having a home to call their own. 

Duncannon takes care of one another unlike any community out there and so I trust and I believe that we can do this and make a huge difference for these families. The adults, the previously homeless and sadly, homeless once again 13 year old, and even the dog, their life depends upon this. We need you, Duncannon.
