We're the team behind Rainbow Railroad Roleplay, a new RedM roleplay server. With decades of gaming experience between our team, we're no strangers to the video game space. After engaging and living out our storylines on existing RedM servers, we realized that there was a need for a true queer-friendly space.
After numerous conversations, experiences, and late-night overthinking sessions - we decided we had the ability to do it ourselves. Each member of our leadership team brings a different area of expertise and experience to the mix, with the awareness that we are going to need help along the way & desire to build a community-centric piece.
We are working hard to get ready for a Jul 1 beta launch and hope to see you there. In the meantime, there are significant hard costs associated with getting Railbow Railroad RP ready for roleplay. If you'd like to help us cover those costs while we burn the midnight oil in preparation for server launch, we would be eternally grateful!
A few details about the server/project:
- The entire leadership team falls within the queer spectrum. We know how important representation is. We know how important it is to listen and truly hear members from all walks of life in our communities.
- Our mission is to create a queer-friendly roleplay space that provides safe, fun, and engaging roleplay experiences with transparency from leadership.
- Our vision is to own, manage, and maintain a robust, queer-friendly RedM server that leverages well-loved features & functions with a fresh, inclusive perspective to ensure that a wide variety of stories are being experienced, while ensuring that administration meets expectations and is transparent.
- We are PASSIONATE about this. This isn't about making money or creating an empire. It's about a safe space where we can have fun with something we love. Roleplay creates so many opportunities for personal growth while having a grand ol' time and we're 100% here for it.
Our guiding principles for the server:
- Empathy & Kindness is vital. Be kind to the unkind, for they are the ones who need it the most.
- Have fun & be safe. Naturally, this is all about having fun. But safety is of utmost importance. Physical, mental, and emotional safety is REQUIRED for a fun environment.
- Listen & Respond vs. React. Hear people out, try to understand where they’re coming from, respect their triggers/needs/out-of-character (OOC) impact. An individual's initial opinion of a situation is not the end-all-be-all, admin staff and players should attempt to understand all sides of in-character (IC) & out-of-character (OOC) disputes.
- Transparency is key. Clear and open communication between the leadership team, the administrative team, and the player base is a foundation of the server.
- Stay Humble. Being humble is realizing that we’re not in this world to see how important we can become, but to see how much of a difference we can make in the lives of others. This isn’t about the founders, admins, or big names, it’s about what we all do together.
FAQs about the server/project:
- What's RedM/RedM Roleplay? --- Simply put: A roleplay sandbox for Red Dead Redemption 2. You'll create your character, their personality, their storyline - it's your adventure.
- How much does it cost to play on an ongoing basis? --- You'll need to have a legal copy of Red Dead Redemption 2 or Red Dead Online Standalone through Steam or Rockstar Games. Access to the beta will be provided through Patreon for a minimal monthly cost to cover hard costs of the server.
- How do I get involved? --- Start here! We'll keep donors updated on our progress. :)
