Please help Stacy, Jaxon & Noah start over
Donation protected
Hi, I’m Shannon Deal. The boys in the photo are 2 of my grandsons, Jaxon and Noah. They are 10 & 7. They lived with their dad in Cobb in a rental house on Rainbows rd. On Fri July 14 late in the afternoon a fire ignited on the back deck and within a couple of minutes the house was engulfed. The boys ran with one of their dogs across the ST to the former principal of Cobb school’s house while their dad Stacy stayed at their house using a garden house to try and get the fire out and calling to their other dog. When the fire trucks arrived he went across with the boys and could only watch as the house burned. The boys didn’t have shoes on. Just shorts and shirts. Stacy didn’t have time to grab his phone, or the keys to a family members borrowed car, just his boys and the younger dog. Sadly the other family dog was still inside. I had been on my way to get the boys for the weekend and arrived to find the house an inferno and no way to get close enough to know if they were ok. Thank goodness after about 30 minutes I saw them, ok. They were dazed but not hurt. I grabbed the boys and their dog and took them home with me. They lost EVERYTHING. So I am raising money to help them replace the things they lost and to find another place to live and hopefully a little cushion for other things they may need for the next few months. My son in law is a good dad and he works hard to provide for his boys. For the boys this comes a year after their papa died in an accident. It’s been a rough year. I do what I can as does the rest of the family but something like this is so enormous that trying to pull together enough to make things more normal for them is a lot for just a few people. If you can spare a little to help them, I guarantee it will be used to get them the necessities for daily living and to get a roof over their heads. The family member that has loaned them a vehicle when Stacy’s truck died is giving them a vehicle but it needs to be registered and will have to be insured. It’s been non-operable so it won’t cost a lot but the vehicle they had been using was lost in fire also. The boys play sports too. Basketball, soccer, baseball, martial arts. They are supposed to play soccer this season and will need cleats and soccer balls. So you can see the money will be used for a lot of things. Please help if you can to make getting back on their feet a little less stressful.
