Rainey’s Law
Donation protected
My name is Kelsea Perrin. A little backstory on me: Megan McMillen has been one of my best friends since elementary school; we practically lived together at times. Rainey, her sister, was like a little sister to me as well. She was a bright, free-spirited girl. Rainey was a cosmetologist; she even gave me, a fellow cosmetologist, advice on how to gain clients and keep them. She loved her job, her family, and her life. Rainey passed due to complications with a heart problem, but she likely would have survived had the people she was with called paramedics. They failed to do so, so we are trying to raise money and awareness for Rainey’s Law. A law stating that if a person does not try to get someone medical help in a life or death situation, they will be charged. As a lot of you may know, we had someone that collected t-shirt money to raise awareness, but it was sadly stolen by the person collecting it. The total was about $1,500. The cost of the shirts was $25, with a portion to be donated to D.A.Y College of Cosmetology to a new student each year. I’m not sure that we can get the money back that was stolen, but I have decided to see if instead, we can raise it and maybe more to help spread awareness of Rainey’s Law. Anything past the goal will go to the fund at the college and spreading awareness. I will personally have the shirts made and send them to everyone that lost their money. Thank you & God bless!
