The future of Rainy Day Records is at risk, and we need your help!
The reality is beginning to set in that the public health and economic crisis we are currently experiencing is going to take an enormous toll on small businesses, and that this terrifying moment in history could very well put this cherished Olympia institution out of business after 47 years.
We are trying to stay open to the public, but we could close our doors at any time. We are encouraging customers to shop with us through remote methods, but phone and online orders could never amount to enough to really keep us going for very long.
We are not asking for donations, but rather any funds that we raise here will be given back to you in the form of gift certificates that can be used for anything in our store, at any time. You can choose to either have these gift certificates mailed, or they can be picked up at the shop.
We are estimating that we could lose at least $30,000 in revenue over the course of the Covid-19 epidemic, and we desperately need whatever funding we can gather to cover our rent and bills, and to protect the livelihoods of our staff.
Any money given to this fundraiser is just a payment in advance for goods that you can collect in the future, once life gets back to normal, and it is safe for everyone to once again shop in our store!
