I help parents learn about navigating civics and democracy with an Ojibwe lens. Parents are learning to have a voice in their communities throughout White Earth in a positive and healthy way for themselves, children, elders, sisters, brothers, families, and each other. This Initiative is creating strong Native American Parents. This Initiative is a 20-week course that provides meals, childcare, and a stipend. Each Participant is given a chance to promote a positive community project, and I am choosing to participate in the YOUNG LIFE TRIATHALON on August 20th in DetroitLakes, MN. In doing so, I hope to raise dollars for the participant's graduation fund and protect the initiative's longevity for the White Earth Reservation as it grows with each new cohort.
