Raise $ for the Street Vendor that was attacked.

Brenda Cortes made a wall post on the Belmont Cragin United page a few days ago about a street vendor that was attacked in front of ITW David Speer Academy on Grand near Long across from Prosser High School. We started this Gofundme to give all the proceeds to the street vendor to help pay any medical bills he may have (broken nose) and to replace the money that was stolen from him during the attack by a number of selfish cowards. Imagine going to work in the below freezing temperatures selling in front of a school to help feed your family and a group attacks you and takes your earnings... In addition to the Gofundme money that is raised, it would be incredibly amazing if the day he decides to go back to work, the community forms a long line and purchases his food and sends him home to his family early. We will update this Gofundme and the BCU page with a date (if he does decide to keep selling in the area).

"On Thursday, December 2nd, the vendor who sells food outside of my school (ITW David Speer Academy) was jumped. I am a student here and I’m very infuriated with what happened. His cart was destroyed, his money was taken, and he was left bleeding. Every encounter that I’ve had with this man has been of pure happiness and joy. It breaks my heart to know that there are people out there who would do such thing to a hardworking man. Unlike the people on the streets who ask for money by doing nothing, this man works for his money, which was sadly stolen. My school and I want to help this man out with whatever he needs. In order to do this we need to find out who he is. If you could please share this post and be on the lookout for the man in the image below I would very much appreciate it from the bottom of my heart. He is part of the Belmont cragin community so please don’t let this man down...

El jueves, 2 de diciembre, asaltaron al vendedor que vende comida afuera de mi escuela (ITW David Speer Academy). Yo soy una estudiante aquí y estoy enfurecida por lo qué pasó. Su carro fue destruido, le robaron su dinero, y lo dejaron sangrando. Cada encuentro que he tenido con este hombre ah sido de pura felicidad y alegría. Me rompe el corazón saber que hay gente capaz de hacerle esto a un hombre trabajador que solo quería hacer un poco de dinero. A diferencia de las personas en las calles que piden dinero sin hacer nada, este hombre trabaja por su dinero, que lamentablemente fue robado. Mi escuela y yo queremos ayudarlo con lo que necesite. Para hacer esto necesitamos averiguar quién es. Ayúdenme a encontrarlo compartiendo esta publicación y estar atento al hombre en la imagen de abajo, te lo agradecería de todo corazón. Él es parte de la comunidad Belmont cragin, así que no ay que defraudarlo... "
