Raise Funds for Adriana's Funeral

Adriana Velázquez, a beloved member of the Austin College community, passed away unexpectedly this fall (2021). To all who knew her, Adriana was a light, a joy, and a remarkable young woman. Adriana's family is asking us to help them raise funds for her funeral and associated costs. In honor of her memory, we as a community must do our best to share this fundraiser and also to donate what we can.

 

A Message from Adriana Velázquez's family:

"The rough amount that we think we need at the moment is $10,000 for the funeral service/cremation and all other related expenses. We are very sad because of Adriana, but we feel like everyone is trying to be on our side. Knowing that this action is in honor of Adriana and is coming from you (the Austin College and greater Dallas community) and some of the girls that were with Adriana before she left means so much more to our family.

Knowing that you (her friends) were someone that saw her, listened to her until almost the end, is like a blessing to us, because we feel closer to her through you. We will always be thankful to you for donating and sharing, regardless of the outcome. The most important thing is your time and kindness towards Adriana’s memory. Thank you very much."

All amounts donated to this fundraiser will go directly to Adriana's family.
