Raising funds for AED's for youth sports
Donation protected
Commotio cordis is a lethal disruption of heart rhythm that occurs as a result of a blow to the area directly over the heart (the precordial region) at a critical time during the cycle of a heartbeat. In the United States this often occurs in boys participating in sports.
Although it is rare, commotio cordis is a leading cause of sudden cardiac death among young athletes.
Since many smaller youth sports facilities and organizations do not carry AED's (automated external defibrillator) I am raising money to hopefully supply them to as many facilities as I can. Each AED costs about 1,300.00.
Please help, this could save a life!
