Raise funds for DEBRA Spain and children with EB.
Donation protected
Hi my name is Sue and I have been a volunteer for 17 years for a charity called DEBRA Spain and I work at the Butterfly Children Charity Shop in Urb. La Marina, Alicante. Over the years I have been involved in raising much needed awareness and donations for DEBRA Spain who support children who are born with an incurable condition called Epidermolysis Bullosa, EB.
I'm Sure you will either have heard of or seen how Graeme Souness CBE has been raising awareness and funds for research into the condition for DEBRA UK. Thankfully he has brought this debilitating condition to everyone's attention.
For my 70th birthday last year my three daughters paid for me to do the Velocity2 Zip Wire. I flew 500 feet high at speeds of 125mph on Zip Worlds thrilling Velocity2. The Zip line near Bethesda in north Wales is the longest in Europe and the world's fastest with over an entire mile to whizz down. I was very pleased to raise £1051 for DEBRA Spain.
Next March I plan to do something a bit more daring to raise more money for DEBRA Spain. I plan to jump off the Stratosphere Tower in Las Vegas. It holds a Guinness World Record as the highest commercial decelerator descent facility. It is the highest sky jump in the world. The jump is 829 feet high and I will drop at 40 miles per hour. So please sponsor me.
I will be aged 72 when I jump so that alone is worth a donation in itself. But more importantly you will be helping improve the quality of life for people living with EB in Spain.
