Raise funds for my cancer treatment

Hey everyone, my name is Chynna.

I am a 29 year old Dental
Assistant in Delaware County.

I started this gofundme campaign as a last resort. When I was in elementary school I was diagnosed with a form of Cutaneous T-Cell Lymphoma called Mycosis Fungoides. It presented itself on my skin with big white spots on my entire body. Back then, it was treated with liquid nitrogen that had to be applied nightly to my entire body. After a few years I was told the cancer was in remission and that I could discontinue treatment. Over the last few years I noticed that some spots were coming back. I finally made a dermatology appointment with a new dermatologist at Penn. After a few biopsies, the doctor did confirm that the cancer was back. The previous treatment that I used as a child is now rarely used and expensive. They currently treat it with phototherapy. With phototherapy, I would come into the office and receive light therapy twice a week. So I started doing that. After 12 weeks, the doctor did notice some improvement but making it to appointments twice a week in University City was seriously cutting into my funds because of the gas and the fact that I had to miss hours of work to travel and receive treatment twice a week. So, my doctor prescribed an at home therapy unit. But, after giving my insurance information, it was determined that the company, National Biological, does not take my insurance and I would have to pay out of pocket. Even with choosing the cheapest option, I couldn’t afford to pay for it. I was trying to save, but at the end of April, the cost went up, I’m guessing due to the inflation that is going on. The machine is now $1000 more. I didn’t want to have to ask anyone for anything and tried to find grants for it but they are hard to come by and I was denied CareCredit because my credit history isn’t good enough. I am a person who doesn’t like to ask anyone for anything and I’ve really tried to avoid making a gofundme, putting myself out there. But at this point, I don’t have anything else to lose. I’m a single mother and I need to be here for my son and my family. If you can help, I would greatly appreciate it. I appreciate you even if you read this far.
