Raise money for Cheddar's FIP medication

Donation protected
For those of you lucky enough to know Cheddar and have seen the numerous photos and videos I have posted on social media, you'll know he is the sweetest boy He is a 5 month old, half Maine coone, who used to have the classic kitten energy and follow his mummies round everywhere. As soon as we arrived home from work or food shopping, and he could hear the door unlocking, he would charge downstairs and greet you with a tiny meow and a BIG stretch. You'd be cooking in the kitchen and all of a sudden he would jump on your back and sit on your shoulder like a parrot, just to see what you are doing.
You'd wake up in the middle of the night and he would be snuggled in bed with us, purring away. We couldn't walk up the stairs without our legs and feet being attacked by a tiny tiger All of this was a daily occurrence until roughly Sunday 21st January, when Cheddar started becoming very lethargic. He didn't want to eat his food and we put this down to him being fussy. He slept quite a lot and we assumed he was simply growing. Five days has gone by and things had not changed and we knew something wasn't right, so we decided to use our pet insurance and visit the vet, not expecting to be told that Cheddar has potentially fatal disease if not treated correctly called FIP. Since Friday 26th, Cheddar has gone downhill rapidly and has had numerous tests, injections and medications and we were finally told yesterday he has FIP. Luckily we were proactive and got the first round of his FIP treatment ordered and could start that yesterday. But the FIP treatment involves 14 days of injections which will cost £2,000 and then 3 months of oral medication which will total roughly £2,000. Our insurance has managed to cover cheddars treatment up until now, but the rest of his medication will be a struggle to cover. Cheddar is a fighter and he is putting up such a fight to stay with us and we are not ready to give up on him. I want to say that we did everything we could to help him, so I have set up this page, to see if this can help in anyway towards his costs. We are not expecting a miracle, but we want to give him every chance his has to live a full and happy life.

Our friend Emily, will be crafting for at least one hour a day, everyday in February, making blankets for the Cats Protection to help us generate support. To follow her progress please find her on [email redacted]te._
