Raise money for mental Health walking Ben Nevis

As everyone knows I’ve been ill the last 2 years. With meningitis and covid my attempt to scale Ben Nevis has been cut short but I will attempt to get as far as I can and the reason is to highlight the struggles people have with mental health issues. Especially with Covid and people having to stay in more than ever.

Our good mate Fergal O’Hagan sadly took his own life last year. I was going to write something like he didn’t seem the type but what is the type? Fergal was the happiest and funniest lad I knew. He was the life and soul of the party and always seemed happy.

Captain of Wizard FC in the Harlesden league he loved his footy and some of , if not all, of the funniest things happened on those Sunday mornings. I had no idea how he was feeling and played golf with him a few times before he took his own life.

I’ll be attempting to walk some of Ben Nevis with all money raised going to Mental health charities

Normally I’d set out at £1000 but as ill only do a limited walk I’ve lowered the amount

He was a good lad, a funny caring lad but the darkness got the better of him.
